*Kawaru stares at the injured Saber*
Kawaru: Sakaki? No matter how strong a magus he is it shouldn’t matter to you with you’re magic resistance.
Saber: He has an Archer from one of the previous wars.
Kawaru: What!? But where did he get the command spell?
Saber: I don’t know and it’s of little consequence we need to save her.
*Kawaru nods a bead of cold sweat drips down his temple*
Kawaru: Hey Saber, Dekar can’t use teleportation magic how did you get here.
Saber: Aylia used her last command spell.
Kawaru: That means that…
Saber: Correct Aylia is no longer my master.
*Kawaru’s eyes widen*
Kawaru: How long can you remain here without a master?
Saber: My independent action rank is relatively high. I should be able to remain in this world for about two days without a master.
Kawaru: So you can still assist us, then I guess I’ll have no choice but to use it.
Saber: What?
*Kawaru goes downstairs and grabs several of his constructs. He also goes over to the table he’s been working at and picks up a gun style construct and grabs a belt with cylinder shaped crystal constructs. He then walks up stairs*
Archer: Isn’t that?
Kawaru: Huh? So you recognize it huh? This is a Templar gun, better known as a tempered caster. I just call it a caster.
Saber: Ironic name.
Kawaru: Yes.
Archer: Wait, aren’t those only given to high ranking enforcers in the magic association?
Kawaru: Yeah, I’m surprised you know that. They stopped distributing casters about 20 years ago since shells are so hard to make.
Saber: So you were a high ranking enforcer?
Kawaru: No, this was given to me by the Tosakas for use during the war, unfortunately they didn’t give me any shells for it.
Saber: So you’ve been working on shells for that gun.
Kawaru: Yeah, I’ve got about 8 each one having a different amount of mana contained in it. The #8 shell has the most mana and the #1 shell has the least.
*Kawaru’s face becomes serious*
Kawaru: Archer, you once said you were also a viable Caster servant, can you heal his wounds?
Archer: I’m afraid I am not adept enough at healing to cure such severe injuries.
*Kazuto walks in. When he sees Saber he runs over and examines his injuries*
Kazuto: Before you treat these you’ve better purify them. Whatever hit him has a pretty strong curse attached to it. The curse can’t spread due to his resistance but you can’t close to wound till it’s dealt with.
Archer: I can do purification magic, but again not at that level.
Kazuto: Wait here for a sec.
*Kazuto runs up to his room and rummages through his bag he then comes barreling down the stairs and hands Archer a piece of cloth*
Archer: What is this?
Kazuto: It’s a piece of divinity cloth, I used it to summon caster but it’s also an effective catalyst for purification.
*Archer holds the cloth in front of Saber and a golden light is emitted from it after a fairly long chant the golden light enters Saber’s wounds neutralizing the curse*
Kawaru: Thanks Kazuto, now all we have to do is heal his wounds.
Saber: Don’t worry.
Kazuto: Huh?
*Saber’s wounds quickly begin to heal themselves*
Saber: Servants heal faster than normal people and the divinity cloth also helped since I had been injured by a noble phantasm.
*Kawaru nods then turns to Kazuto*
Kawaru: Kazuto make a contract with Saber.
Saber/Kazuto: WHAT!?
Kawaru: We need to rescue Aylia and for that Saber need to be at his best so our chances will improve if he has a master.
*Kazuto turns away with a pained expression*
Kazuto: Sorry Kawaru, I can’t.
Kawaru: Kazuto! This isn’t a game! Aylia’s life is on the line!
Kazuto: But I made an oath to Caster, I must uphold her final request. To a magus such an oath means more than their life.
*Kawaru stops upon hearing this*
Kawaru: So these really are the ideals I’ve been practicing huh?
*Kawaru turns towards the door and begins leaving in disgust*
Kawaru: Aylia…maybe she was right all along.

*The two servants follow-after him. As he takes off running towards the Einzberg estate*
Saber: Kawaru be careful the servant is very powerful, and Sakaki is a strong magus, they will likely target you.
Archer: I will defend my master if the need arises.
*Saber nods and they continue after about 20 minutes of running Kawaru stops then begins to walk*
Saber: Kawaru do you know where you’re going?
Kawaru: Yeah, I’m using Archer’s clairvoyance to find the greatest source of mana in the area, that’s where they are.
Saber: Then why are you stopping.
Kawaru: Because if exhaust myself getting there our odds of success go down.
Saber: I suppose. So where is it?
Kawaru: We’ve almost reached the forest to the mansion, I’ve heard the Einzbergs have used this house as a base in previous wars.
Saber: So we’ll be in a forest
Kawaru: Yeah.
*Kawaru, Archer, and Saber reach the edge of the forest*
Archer: Stay on your guard Kawaru.
Kawaru: Yeah, if I’m not careful, I’m likely to lose my life. Saber, you have the best close combat abilities and you have good instincts, you lead. With the caster I’ve got a strong offense I’m also the most likely target so I’ll go second, and Archer you’ve got the strongest ability to sense mana so you take the rear.
Saber: I believe that that is the best formation. However, if the servant appears I want you and Archer to continue on ahead I will deal with him alone.
Kawaru: Okay.
Archer:…
Kawaru: Let’s go!
*The three enter the woods they move slowly and swiftly*
Archer: Saber, do you feel that?
Saber: Yes, he’s coming.
*The three continue ahead into a clearing. When they enter the clearing stakes begin to rain down at Kawaru*
Kawaru: I’m not gonna go down that easily.
*Kawaru takes out a small crystal handle and suddenly a giant crystal buckler appears the stakes stick in it but don’t pierce it. As Kawaru hides behind it*
Archer: Kawaru go now!
Kawaru: Okay!
*Kawaru takes off towards the mansion*
Saber: Archer, you go to.
*Stakes begin to rain down on both of them but suddenly each in knocked away by a small energy orb*
Saber: What?!
*Saber looks over at Archer who had created a mana bow and was firing mana balls about as fast as Kalonis was firing the death stakes*
Archer: Saber, I can’t keep this up forever go!
Saber: Why?
Archer: Kawaru might now be able to beat Sakaki go help him I’ll handle this servant.
Saber: If we work together we can defeat him now!
Archer: Saber, thanks for you’re concern but I won’t be alone my partner is always with me.
Saber: What do you mean?
*Suddenly Archer increases the firing rate and begins to push back Kalonis’s assault*
Archer: GO NOW!
*Saber hesitates but he soon realizes that is doesn’t matter what he does and he follows after Kawaru*
Archer: Thank you Saber.
*Kalonis stops firing and smirks*
Kalonis: So you believe you can defeat me alone?
Archer: No, not alone, but who ever said I was?
Kalonis: What do you mean?
Archer: Eternal Oath!
*Suddenly there is a bright light which is emitted from an item in Archer’s hair. A brilliant flash occurs, but Kalonis begins to fire. However, the stakes are blasted away by a giant wave of mana*
: Sako, it’s been quite a long time.
Archer: Yes, it has.

*Kawaru is dashing towards the castle at full speed*
Kawaru: Aylia, I’m going to save you, I’ve got to tell you, to tell you that you were right all along. The magi really have walked the wrong path.
*As Kawaru continues towards the castle he is quickly over taken by another figure*
Kawaru: Dammit!
*He loads his #4 shell into the caster and then in and instant he and the figure have their weapons stopped about an inch in front of the other’s face*
Kawaru: Oh Saber you scared me there for a sec. So did you two already defeat the servant where’s Archer?
Saber: Archer decided to stay behind and finish the battle with that servant. She said that she would defeat him and catch up.
Kawaru: So you think she’s going to use her “hidden” noble phantasm?
Saber: If such a thing exists, yes.
Kawaru: Well we can’t worry about her now. Let’s just trust her and go save Aylia.
Saber: Yes.
*Kawaru and Saber continue forwards when they reach the mansion Saber suddenly stops Kawaru*
Kawaru: What?
Saber: There’s a barrier.
Kawaru: Don’t worry then.
Saber: Why?
Kawaru: Just show me where it is.
*Saber leads Kawaru to the point where the barrier is and he throws a small crystal disk at the barrier when he makes contact with the invisible defense a strange disruption is created and an opening about eh size of a bank fault is created*
Kawaru: Let’s move.
Saber: Okay.
*Both of them go through the opening and run towards the mansion when they reach the front door Saber again stops Kawaru*
Saber: I should open the door. Then even if he has a magical defense my resistance should neutralize it.
*Kawaru nods and Saber opens the door*
Sakaki: So predictable.
*Suddenly a black orb envelopes Saber and he lets out a yell of agony*
Sakaki: It’s true your magic resistance is high but even it isn’t perfect. Not against an A level sorcery.
Kawaru: You’re capable of such spells?
Sakaki: Why certainly. Now you can watch as Saber’s remaining mana is stolen from him and he vanishes from this world.
*Kawaru suddenly raises his caster and pulls the trigger the turbines on the gun begin to rotate and an immense blast of mana is fired directly at Sakaki. The blast makes contact with Sakaki’s defensive barrier spell and the two neutralize each other*
Kawaru: What!?
*Kawaru has a look of surprise on his face, but strangely so does Sakaki*
Sakaki: A templar gun? You even have ammo. You neutralized my shield with a single shot.
*Sakaki soon recovers his calm and a smile crosses his face*
Sakaki: Well maybe this will be fun after all.
*Without hesitation Kawaru loads his #6 shell into the caster and points it at Sakaki*
Sakaki: Cresant messor vomica!
Kawaru: Latin? So you can use ancient magic.
*Suddenly black cresant waves of energy fire out towards Kawaru he manages to avoid them but he is off balance for the next round so he redeploys his buckler*
Sakaki: It seems you came prepared.
*The buckler protects Kawaru from the attacks but the black color spreads and the buckler is destroyed*
Kawaru: Damn you!
*Kawaru points the caster at Sakaki and pulls the trigger. The turbines rotate and a blast even larger than the previous one is fired*
Sakaki: Eternus obscurum tribuo mihi coniecto shield
*A buckler of dark fire appears before Sakaki and absorbs the blast*
Kawaru: No!
Sakaki: Is that all?
Kawaru: Dammit! A way. There has to be a way.
*Kawaru loads his #8 shell into the caster and fires it at Sakaki. A smaller mana bullet it fired this time. Sakaki forms another buckler but when the blast hits it the condensed mana begins to crack the shield*
Sakaki: Fine.
*Suddenly Sakaki raises his other hand in front of him and a second shield appears behind the first*
Kawaru: So you’re a dual caster.
Sakaki: Correct, there is no longer a need to drain Saber his mana will be exhausted soon and he has no way of recharging it. He’ll disappear soon. So I can focus all of my attention on you.
*Sweat drips down Kawaru’s temple and he loads his #7 shell*
Kawaru: This is bad.

: So where are we in the war right now?
Archer: Servants Caster, and Rider have both been defeated, and servant Saber has lost his master.

Archer: Yours.
Kawaru(f): Well that’s interesting.
