HOLLOW FABLE

INTRO
---
The world was not always the beautiful land it is today… Years ago, insects and plants consumed the land; slowly killing it with their mindless destruction. It eventually grew to the state that Orion, the Inventor, could no longer turn his gaze away from our world. So he built Gaius and Amera; the first Golems. And so the world was brought to order, and peace…
---
Gulliver: It ain’t always been like this…
A small wooden shack is seen in a desert-like climate. Behind it and in front of it are two large cliffs, stretching up high into the sky. They also stretch far to the left and right; no end in sight. No plants can be seen; however, heat can. The whole area looks somewhat blurry, as if the suns rays are reflecting right of the ground, like it was a mirror. The inhabitants of the shack, however, can not feel the heat.
Gulliver walks outside; Gino and Arkis at his side. They are, to put it simply, robots; or ‘Golems’ as their culture calls them.
Gulliver is the bigger of the two. He has a silverish armor of sorts on him. He has a somewhat muscular appearance to him, although naturally he has no muscles on him. Both Gino and Arkis are identical to each other in appearance, being ‘Twins’. They are both brown. They are smaller then Gulliver, however are also fairly muscular, making them ideal grunts. All three of them have glowing, surprisingly human-like eyes to them.
Gino and Arkis are both listening (Not admittedly all that intently) to Gulliver, the oldest of them. Gulliver, like all Golems, speaks with a fairly human like voice. He sounds somewhat like a middle-aged man.
Gulliver: I ‘member a time when there were greens big as a house almost… You could almost fit yer’ head right under them ya could… Now, now ye’d be be lucky enough to find a green that isn’t been growin’ in some… smart guys lab, as an experiment. Sickens me, it does.
Gulliver looks ahead at the cliff in front of them; blocking them from seeing anything else.
Gulliver: Some view, eh? Hehe, now, I ain’t tryin’ to suggest anythin’ ‘gainst Weeble. Owes him me life I’s do after all… Just think he coulda picked a bit of better scenery is all, ya know?
Gulliver looks at Gino and Arkis; both of which are not really paying attention to him. Once they realize he’s stopped talking, however, they both immediately look at him and mutter.
Arkis: Eh-
Gino: Yeah.
Gulliver nods and starts walking forward, out into the sun.
Gulliver: Again, I ain’t sayin’ anything I shouldn’t be sayin’, but the fact of the matter is-
He turns around to face the two of them, and sees that Weeble is standing atop the shack; having listened in on the whole conversation Gulliver was having with the two of them.
Weeble is not as big a bot as Gulliver, Arkis, or Gino. He is small and somewhat thin looking. However, considering how Gulliver leaps back upon seeing him, he is not one to be crossed with. He is bright orange in tone, a somewhat ugly color, but it matches him. At his side he carries a sheath, holding a thin, silver blade known as a White Flame. He also has dark, penetrating eyes. These eyes as it is help give him a dangerous vibe. However, there is something else to the eyes… something that they lack. Behind his eyes there is nothing… No sign of a mind of any kind, no sign of a personality. He is empty.
Weeble: What’s this Weeble has been a-hearing?
Gulliver: Weeble? How… how long ye been up there?
Weeble jumps of the shack and lands directly in front of Gulliver, making Gulliver jump back again.
Weeble: Why you so worried, little Gully? Weeble been hearing something he shouldn’t have been?
Gulliver: Weeble, I… I ain’t been meaning to offendin’ ye, if that’s what I been doin…
Weeble: Offend me, little Gully?
Weeble laughs. He laughs a cold, empty laugh; one with no meaning, more meant to threaten than to reassure.
Weeble: Now Gully, would you still be standing there if you had been offending me?
Gulliver looks at Weeble nervously; unsure where he is going with this. Weeble looks back at him calmly, in control of the situation.
Gulliver: I was… I had just been tellin’ the boys that we could, y’know, do in for a change of…
Weeble: Ah, Gully; what you want to go changing everything for? Things not as good as you want them to be?
Gulliver: No, I mean yes, I mean… Just, why did ye pick this place in particular, Weeble?
Weeble: Not starting to feel claustrophobic, are we Gully?
Gulliver speaks, somewhat slowly and nervously. He is finally getting the chance to speak his mind to Weeble; a very dangerous thing to do.
Gulliver: Ye’ll… ye’ll ‘ave to forgiv’ me Weeble. I’ been raised on large, open fields I ‘av. Areas like this… they’ll take a bit of getting’ use to, I s’pose…
Weeble: Gully, don’t you see the beauty of lying in an area like this… This land is ours. No one else will ever be looking for us in this abandoned piece of rock.
Gulliver: So… we’re here becuz’ no one would look for us ‘ere then?
Weeble stretches his arms to the left and right, as if embracing the surrounding area.
Weeble: To be truthful, Gully, I take comfort out of owning this land… Makes me feel secure, it does, knowing that this place is my own… Makes me feel safe from the world.
Gulliver: Well, I… I didn’t mean anythin’ Weeble; nothin’ at all. It’ll take some gettin’ used to but I- I’m sures I’ll get cozy ‘ere ‘ventually.
Weeble puts his hand on Gulliver; again, faking reassurance but truly meaning dominance.
Weeble: Is what I like to hear, Gully.
Weeble looks to his left, peering in the distance. A brief silhouette can be seen approaching.
Weeble: Besides, fun is arriving.
Gulliver looks to where Weeble is staring at, and sees the figure.
Gulliver: We been found out?
Gulliver looks back at Weeble, worried. Weeble however remains calm and cool and continues to look at the figure. He shakes his head.
Weeble: Been following them for a while, I have. A damaged Golem; shouldn’t be hard to overtake. He carries a smaller one with him.
Gulliver: … Anythin’ worth takin’?
Weeble nods.
Weeble: You should have seen the gleam of that bots armor… So shiny, it puts yours to shame it does, Gully. If we manage to, relieve it of his person…
Weeble begins backing away into the shack so as to hide himself from view of the upcoming figure.
Weeble: … I think we may have ourselves set.
Gulliver continues to stare at the approaching bot, until he realizes that he is the only one now outside the shack. He quickly turns around and hurries in it.
---
The Golem Weeble was talking about is seen, walking through the heat of the desert. He does indeed have shiny armor; platinum in color. He is a fairly large bot; bigger then Gulliver by a surprising amount. However, despite this, there is no threatening aura to him; he is innocent, almost child-like. He carries in his arms a damaged bot, green in color. The bot provides a contrast to the big bot, being fairly dull in color and small in size.
Len, the Golem, walks at a slow, somewhat dazed pace. He has been walking in the desert for quite a while, and his system has become somewhat overheated. However, he can not rest; he will not rest. He has Geo to look after.
Len: Don’t worry Geo… Goinna find you a place real soon… Promised Ma and Pa I would, so I will… I ain’t never lied before, and I won’t start now…
Len continues moving forward in his slow pace. Staring straight ahead, he appears to not truly be paying attention to his surroundings. Geo remains still, and lifeless. He has deactivated.
As Len moves forward, Weeble’s shack soon comes into view. Len pays it no mind and doesn’t even glance at it. It is of no use to him; he knows that there lies no help inside of it.
However, as he continues walking the door to the shack creeks open. Arkis walks out of the shack slowly, and calmly. He stares at the bot, his eyes putting on a charade of kindness and concern. This is one thing that Arkis is very good at.
Arkis: Hey, you! You need any help?
Len does not even glance in Arkis’ direction. Arkis waits a few seconds for a response, than tries again.
Arkis: Hey!… Hey, I’m talking to you, shiny!
Len continues to move forward; not ignoring Arkis, but rather not being aware of him.
Arkis again waits a few seconds.
Arkis: Hey!
When he again receives nothing, his mask breaks. He angrily stomps out of the shacks shade, picks up a rock from the ground, and throws it at Len.
Arkis: Listen to me, you stupid waste of metal!
Len pauses for a few seconds. As he does, Arkis’ brief outburst dies down, and he suddenly becomes aware of what he just did. Now that he is slightly closer to the bot, he realizes how small he is in comparison. He begins to regret throwing the rock, until Len turns around and faces him. On the bots face, to Arkis’ surprise, is fear.
Arkis: … Sorry about throwing that rock at you, eh, buddy. Just trying to get your attention is all… Hehe.
Len: …
Len begins to speak slowly, struggling as he’s doing it; almost as if he is still in the middle of learning speech.
Len: H-how… Huh-how much longer to du… du… the town?
Arkis looks at Len, somewhat confused.
Arkis: … What?
Len: D- The town. Geo needs help…
Arkis: Geo?
Arkis looks at the small, dingy bot Len is holding.
Arkis: You mean that?
Len: He told me to leave buh- but I kept him. I don’t kuh-care if I get sick, Geo ne- needs help.
Arkis: Sick?
Arkis looks again at Geo, somewhat nervously now.
Arkis: What’s wrong with him?
Len: He needs-
Arkis: I said what’s wrong with him.
Arkis is speaking sternly now; he is no longer afraid of the bot now. He is more worried about what the little one may have ‘caught’.
Len: Animal-Golems, they attacked the town… They attacked Geo, and broke the small ones… I tried to help, buh- but not they’re… and Geo’s sick…
Arkis: Animal-Golems?
Slowly Arkis comes to a realization of what Len is talking about. He takes two large steps back, panicking somewhat.
Arkis: Y- You mean Enkidu? D- Did the Enkidu do this?
He looks at Len and points at him.
Arkis: Y- You- You’re infected!?
Len: N- No. Geo made sure I was careful. Told me to hide in the shelter with the others. Said I c-could protect them.
Arkis: H-how long was that guy s-sick?
Len starts shaking his head.
Len: Not long, no, not long. Was night ti- time once I think since… maybe twice.
Arkis calms down somewhat. The virus that this ‘Geo’ has still will take around a few more days before it fully infects him. They’ll just have to be sure to kill him their selves.
Arkis: I see.
Arkis looks out into the great desert Len is walking towards. Large, cold, empty… No way this bot would actually survive out there. Really, they’d probably be doing him a favor, killing him. Better than what could be found out there.
Arkis: There isn’t a town out there for miles. It’d probably be… a two-day, three-day walk. I don’t know about where you came from, but there are a great many creepers that like to come crawling out at night. No…
Arkis begins to pretend as if he has just come upon a great idea.
Arkis: Hey, tell you what? Why don’t you stay here for the night, hmmm? Me and my buddies were actually heading out for a trip to the great city of Alreya on our flier tomorrow. You could probably find yourself a fixer there, hmmm? It won’t be any trouble for us.
Len: …
Len starts to walk forward. Arkis suddenly looks nervous; he’s not falling for the bait.
Arkis: Hey, buddy? Did you just hear me? I said-
Len: You t- trying to trick muh- me. But I ain’t falling… You got no glider. You just being bad ones… Geo t- told me about guys’ l- like you.
Arkis: W- what you talking about? I just trying to make a friendly offer is all. If you want to die with your friend in that desert, go ahead.
Len: Geo ain’t goinna die…
Len continues walking. Arkis looks around nervously. He has to get this quick; for a retard, this guy seems to have a good judge of character.
Arkis lifts up his arm and points it at Len. From the palm of his hand a small, silver cannon-like device can be seen.
Arkis: You are going to stop right now, you hear me! You are going to stop right now!
Len continues moving.
Arkis: Hey! Listen to me!… Fine!
The cannon fires; a purple beam shoots out of it and hits Len dead on. It slices right through a part of his back, leaving a large hole that allows Arkis to see right through him. Len takes two more steps, and then falls forward. His eyes blank out.
Arkis laughs, nervously. He is feeling the equivalent of adrenaline rushing through him at the moment.
Arkis: You feel that, you big stupid bastard! I told you to stop, I did! I told you to stop! You should have listened to me! Freaki-
Weeble: Perhaps it’s time for you to take a break, Arkis. This all seems to be putting a lot of stress on you.
Arkis turns around to see Weeble now standing right behind him. He quickly looks at the cabin, to see the door open. Gulliver and Gino are coming out.
Arkis: We- Weeble! I- it’s alright, really. Just got a little ahead of myself, I guess.
Arkis goes and looks at the Golem that was once Len.
Arkis: He should have listened to me… Stupid bastard, could have just taken his parts and set him on his way… He was like a big baby or something. I guess he got upgraded to early. Maybe got a big hit in the head…
Weeble looks at Lens’ fallen body closely.
Weeble: … Left a bit of a hole in him, didn’t we Arkis? I thought we didn’t want the parts damaged.
Fear slowly creeps back into Arkis’ eyes.
Arkis: Oh crud… Sorry Weeble, I got ahead of myself I gue-
Weeble slices the White Flame that he had been carrying straight into Arkis’ head. Arkis looks at Weeble briefly, confusion than fearful comprehension lying on his eyes. Weeble brings back his blade, and Arkis falls to the ground as well.
Weeble looks at both Gulliver and Gino. Gino takes a step back, somewhat startled to have just witnessed the death of his own brother.
Weeble: Perhaps next time we will think before we get ahead of ourselves, hmm?
Gulliver: … Yes Weeble… A’course.
Gino: …
Weeble: Good then. I’m starting to get slightly irritated with everyone not being able to take a simple request… I hope you realize how easy I go on you.
Gulliver looks nervously at Weeble, Arkis’ body, and then the body of the small bot Len was carrying.
Gulliver: Eh, wat ‘bout that bot he’s carrying t- than… Said he was attacked by an Enkidu or somethin’ didn’t he?
Weeble looks at Geo. He walks closer and bends near him. He then steps back and walks to Gulliver and Gino.
Weeble: Troubling, indeed. Can’t crush his head with our own hands… We might catch that virus. Last thing I want is to become one of them Enkidu… We’ll just have to find a cliff to toss him off I suppose.
Gulliver: Yeah… I guess so…
Weeble: … So, what are we waiting for then, hmmm?
Gulliver: Oh.
Gulliver goes and walks towards Geo. Just as he gets close to Lens’ body, however…
Len: … You aren’t goinna take him…
Gulliver: Huh?
Len slowly gets to his knees, and starts rising up. He seems to have trouble doing it, but is succeeding all the same. Gulliver backs away, startled, while Weeble looks at the Golem curiously.
Once Len rises, his ‘wound’ is seen clearly. A bluish glow surrounds the hole, and seems to be causing it to shrink.
Weeble: Well, that’s interesting…
Gulliver: W-w-what the?
Weeble looks at Gulliver, somewhat nervously now.
Weeble: Well, what are you waiting for than Gully? Break him!
Gulliver: I… I don’t-
Weeble: Break him Gully!
Gulliver looks at Len nervously for a few seconds. Neither of them makes a move towards the other one. Seconds pass by, minutes. Yet Gully doesn’t notice this; it seems to him that time has stood still. Lens hole continues to glow until it has vanished; almost as if it was never there in the first place.
Gully, summoning a large amount of courage into himself, suddenly leaps into action. He readies his fists and leaps at Gully. Lens’ eyes glow red right as he does this. Just as Gully is close to him Len reaches his arms out, grabs both of Gullys’ arms, and tears them off. To Weeble and Gully, this all seems to have occurred instantaneously. In one seconds, Gully is swinging a punch at Len, in the next he is on the ground, letting out a sound much like a computer shrieking, with Len holding both his arms.
Glen: Eyyyh! Aggggggghhhhhhh!
Glen continues to shriek as the main center in his head sends painful signals throughout his body; alerting him that what was once a part of him no longer is.
Without even looking at him, Len raises his foot and smashes it down on Glens head, ending the screaming.
Weeble: Very very interesting indeed…
Weeble looks at Len for a second, and then vanishes. He has a chamo gear of sorts on him. Len looks around the area, scanning with his bright, red eyes. He instantly locks on his target and lifts up his arm. His arm suddenly morphs into a thin, narrow firearm that looks somewhat like a rifle. A green beam shoots out of the firearm, landing his target. Weeble shrieks and reappears, lying on the ground now, badly damaged. Len turns his gaze away from Weeble towards Gino, who has not moved from his spot, still stunned. He turns his weapon to him, charges it up, and shoots him in the head. All of this takes less than three seconds. As Ginos’ body falls to the ground in a fashion similar to his brothers, Len walks towards Weeble slowly and calmly; any sign of a threat is over. He stands in front of the terrified Weeble and looks down at him.
Weeble: What… what the hell are you supposed to be?
Len raises his weapon to Weeble. Weeble talks quickly and panicky, a tone not quite like him.
Weeble: Look, we can- we can settle this peaceful like, hmm? You can just go on your way, and I can act as if this never-
Len fires.

Comments, and criticsms would be appreciated. This will last as long as I feel the story should last; I wouldn't really expect anything above 10 parts.
