Three years ago...
Taira Ishida jogged up to Ray Shima, who was holding a metalic stick. It was darker than usual for an underground parking lot, and as usual the two were getting into all sorts of trouble. Tonight, they would steal a car. Reason being was because they were bored. They were two kids who lived in one of the most rundown places in Tokyo, though Taira was more of a genius than the rest of the kids. He was a smart one but reckless. Ray however was more street smart, but his good looks helped him get through thick and through. Taira panted heavily, finally able to catch up to Ray who ran towards the only car in the lot. Ray grinned at Taira, Taira grinned back at him. Ray raised the metallic rod and opened up the trunk of the little cadillac. Taira went in front of Ray to find what they were about to take. Taira opened up a guitar case inside and found inside it a guitar with bullet holes in it. He picked it up and played a few notes, surprisingly it still made a good sound. However, Ray was not the least bit impressed.
"Man...just a suitcase with some paperwork inside and a broken guitar." Moaned Ray.
Taira looked at him sharply and whacked him as he pointed to the serial number of the guitar, "Don't you realize what this is you idiot? This is serial number 27929!! This is the legendary Lucille!" Taira exclaimed in alarm.
Ray, who was never smart at trivia, looked puzzled at Taira, "So?"
Taira sighed in anguish and explained, "Lucille was the guitar of the legendary jazz musician named Sonny Boy. One night, he got into a fight with a man over a girl named Lucille. Then the next night, the man shot Sonny while he was playing. Thus giving the guitar it's bullet holes and thus calling it Lucille!"
Now it was Ray's turn to be impressed, "Woah! Who would've thought!?! But who owns it now?" Ray asked, but before he could get an answer footsteps could be heard coming towards the pair. Taira and Ray quickly hid behind a pillar and decided to wait for them to leave.
"We have taken care of that pop diva correct Gordy?" A rough voice was heard, it the sound the man made was that of a power-hungry businessman who claims authority.
"Right boss. I took her out and made it look like she committed suicide Mr. Sykes." The man known as Gordy said.
Taira's heart skipped a beat, Sykes! He had heard of him before, "Ray. This is Leon Sykes! A major music producer! There's rumors circulating that he even kills to get what he wants. Let's get out of here." Ray who agreed with him and heard of the one known as Leon Sykes, he decided to leave too. They went through a door, the darkness was their shield.
Leon Sykes, a tall black man with curly hair and black sunglasses, heard footsteps but it was too faint to identify if it really was footsteps. "Let me check if Lucille is in the trunk." He calmly said and opened up the trunk. His eyes went wide as he noticed it. He was angry and glared at Gordy, "WHERE'S LUCILLE!" Gordy, a black man with golden teeth and a cap over his head, was confused, "But sir! It was in the trunk when we left. Someone must've stole it!" Leon Sykes glared angrily at him still and stopped, "Try to find it. And when we find the punk that stole it, kill him." Gordy nodded obediently and they soon left the building.
