Promises. Are they empty vows that serve to placate Or something more, something real, something sincere? To make a promise and fill the other with hope Or will they tell of your deception, loud and clear?
Promises. Forgotten like one’s early childhood, Ignored like some insignificant concern. Thought of as a mere trifle, nothing more, Like a bike left in the rain, now auburn.
Promises. Many are made every single day, Unspoken, written, or said. It is up to you, Carry them out and fulfill your end of the bargain. Be the one to always see them through.
Promises. Never will I let a promise be lost, For one that is lost will lead to others that follow. And to lose that promise would mean losing you, Resulting in a very sorry and lonely morrow.
