w00t! First poem since a month! >.>; Yeah, wrote this during an after-school club meeting. Tell me how you like it, good or bad. Flames and critiques welcome as long as they are justified. If not... j00 get teh BAN. >.> Just kidding.
Time and again, the superhero gets the spotlight, All the renown, respect, and affection from the masses. But what about the one whom the hero fights? His goals and dreams shattered like broken glasses, In an instant, foiled once more.
Always does the superhero get the glory, No matter what the means are to achieve the end. Yet, nothing is mentioned of the villainĀfs story. His hardships, forgotten, seem to be the trend. Let him for once take the floor.
Show the effort, the sweat, and the perseverance That he puts into his dastardly plans of conquest. Or perhaps the villain is driven by vengeance. Whatever it may possibly be, he will not rest Until a win, not before.
But a win he will never have within his reach, For it is the hero, in the end, who prevails. Given no quarter, no mercy though he beseech, A default loss in all but a few of these tales, Those few being the truest lore.
