The crashing waves upon the sandy shore, Leaves one near begging for more, As the sun shines, glittering the seas, A sight as beautiful as thee.
And the tide changes, getting ever low’r Exposing in the sand, a pretty little flow’r Surviving the harsh waters of the vast ocean, As the pale moon controls each motion.
With the stars, the flower shines bright, Giving hope to those in the dark night. Standing straight and tall, as it blossoms forth, The flower tries to stay bright for all its worth.
But the sun rises and the tide changes again, Waves rolling over the flower, causing it to bend. Though still it stays in that one sandy spot, There, where its love was first caught.
During the leaving dusk, he first came, Awed by its beauty, igniting a flame, He picked up the flower with the utmost of care, And even in his hands, he could not help but stare.
He brought the flower into his house, Cherishing it, almost like a spouse, But the flower wilted, so he put it back on the sandy shore, Letting the beautiful, blossomed flower to shine once more.
