It is a weird and wonderful thing,
A thing we all strive for
Like an angel getting its wings
A feeling so deep in our core.
Sometimes it does not last
Sometimes it is forever there.
From the present or the past
Losing it in the future,
You may have to bear.
It does not have to be all bad
May you have the happy end.
And not doubt what you may have had.
Because the heart is so hard to mend.
This is something we all do need.
For this is the only thing that gives hope.
This is a warning you all should heed
Because a life without love
Is a life you cannot yet cope.
