Biography: Ayan, as she calls herself in the newest revision of the world-famous MMORPG, The World, is just a seventeen-year-old girl residing in the populous urban jungle of Tokyo. Among the many aliases she has partaken in the past, lies the real name of one Nayami Akatsu, a still-budding flower. Yet for one with such beauty, therein lie problems.
Her beauty indeed came from her mother, an illustrious model and mogul in Japanese fashion. However, a pampered life was not in Nayami’s cards when her mother, Natsumi Watanabe met a struggling man by the name of Tetsuya Akatsu. The blossoming romance led on for years until it culminated into Tetsuya asking Natsumi her hand in marriage.
Their love was true and strong, which led to the conception of a beautiful baby girl by the name of Nayami Akatsu, so she was told, at least. Almost immediately after her birth, Natsumi had complications and the doctors simply couldn’t save her. Nayami Akatsu would never get to meet her mother.
Left in custody of her father, the owner and head chef of a small corner restaurant in Tokyo, Nayami did not live the life their parents wanted for her. Although they were married, Tetsuya only received a small portion of Natsumi’s wealth, robbed by the agents and companies that had been working for her.
With just enough money to raise the child in their home above the restaurant, Tetsuya made do with what he had, as he has always done. Fathering a child was hard work, but he taught her love, patience, and understanding, knowing that those three things would surely help her in life as she grew. Indeed it has, as she has grown into a charming young lady. However, there is something that she feels is missing in her life, something she deserves.
Going to one of the several schools in the city, Nayami has a fondness for listening. Unusually quiet, yet congenial, she has become rather popular in giving advice throughout her school. But for the one who gives all the advice, who gives them a word of the wise? Stressful as the last year before college has been for her, Nayami has kept her cool, yet she could use some help in relieving it. It is now that she hears of a game called The World. A large portion of students plays it, and although she is not a gamer herself, she decides to try it.
