Where, oh where, will I see you?
When, oh when, can I see you again?
It's painful not having you by my side,
As the moon ascends and the day has died.
But, not all has been forever lost,
As once the dawn is long gone,
You, my love, will come back to me,
And the next day will occur blissfully.
Though as I lay here on this empty bed,
I canot help but think to let out a yelp,
For that time is not just yet to come,
And start I to become rather glum.
Closed do my eyes cease to be,
And awake do I endure this heartache,
Wondering when this night will be finished
Its quick end something I would so wish.
Throughout the night do I stay up,
Restless yet tired for what I desire.
The arrival of the one whom I hold dear,
The one whom I love, cherish, and revere.
As my eyes start to droop ever so slightly,
The new day makes its way;
The sun from over the horizon peeps,
While the moon falls asleep.
With the morning now underway,
Do I at last venture in a dream world so vast.
And upon my landing, I catch the sight of
My one and only truly, forever love.
