The following is a guide on the currently revealed cast of Power of Love:

Kyosuke “Kyo-kun” Nanbara: 17-year-old high school student who originates from Miyako-jima in the Okinawa Prefecture. His parents moved him out to Sapporo for him to get a better grasp on the culture. He lives there with his cousin Satsuki. Accustomed to Miyako-jima’s small population, Kyosuke was uncomfortable with Sapporo’s great number of inhabitants, thus making it difficult for him to make friends (despite the fact that he’s popular among a few of his female classmates). He’s usually very quiet and withdrawn (and at times tactless), but can be kindhearted when he needs to be.

Emiri “Emi-chan” Sakurai: A 17-year-old high school student and recent addition to Kyosuke’s class. Having transferred from Asakura High School in Asakura, Fukuoka, she’s planned to start (and complete) her second and third years at Sapporo South High. Emiri is a bottomless cauldron of energy, as she’s very lively and high-spirited. Never seen without a smile on her face, she’s always eager to make new friends. She’s also very competitive, as she aspires to win every competition placed in front of her, no matter how dull in nature the competition is. Shortly after meeting Kyosuke, Emiri vows to help him open up more to others.

Her pet peeves include indifference and inattentiveness – both of which can be found in Kyosuke. But Misuzu has another, more feminine side to herself that she hardly ever shows. She loves the smell of flowers and watching the sun go down.

As well-endowed as she is, Chiaki gains much attention from her male classmates. She excels in several sports, but her favorite sport of all is swimming. Chiaki loves all things cute, and at times loses her self-control when she sees something that falls into that category.

Kozue even manages to maintain her good looks in spite of the grief and stress her class puts her under. She prefers disciplining her class with as little confrontation as possible, but is not afraid to show her ugly side if the situation demands it.

Satsuki Nanbara: Kyosuke’s 21-year-old cousin whose house he moved into when he relocated to Sapporo. She currently attends Sapporo City University (Chuo-ku campus). Satsuki is rather attractive and the object of many men’s desire. Being a college student, Satsuki has a strong sense of responsibility, and having taken on the task of looking after her cousin Kyosuke, she’s developed a few motherly attributes.

Ayumu “Ayu-chan” Sakurai: Emiri’s 13-year-old sister. As expected of someone her age, she’s a rather mischievous little girl. Like Emiri, Ayumu is very cheerful and energetic, perhaps even more so than Emiri herself. Because Emiri spends a lot of her time with Kyosuke, Ayumu constantly accuses the two of being a couple – a focal subject of many of her playful insults.

Miyako’s very close to Kyosuke and at times gets jealous when she sees him around other girls, but under such circumstances, she usually keeps a cool head.
