*Kawaru glances at the door Aylia and Kazuto are talking*
Kawaru:…I…
*His vision zero’s in on Aylia’s face and he takes a deep breath and looks at Sako*
Kawaru: Sako I—‘m sorry but I can’t return those feelings I like someone else.
*Sako smiles and lets out a big sigh as she traces Kawaru’s vision*
Sako: It looks like I was too late you already met someone else. It’s Aylia right?
Kawaru: Yeah.
*Kawaru scratches the back of his head as he responds*
Sako: That’s fine but you’d better take good care of her then.
Kawaru: Don’t worry I will.
Sako: Then you two should get going.
Kawaru: You’re right. Aylia lets go!
*Saber enters spirit form and Aylia exits the house following Kawaru as he begins to walk towards the park. Once Kawaru is out of sight Sako’s smile turn into a look of defeat her eyes start to swell up and she runs in the opposite direction from the house. Kazuto who had noticed this follows her*
Kazuto: Sako wait up, be careful, it’s dangerous for you to run around on your own!
*After running about a mile Sako’s falls to the ground by the time Kazuto catches up she is hugging her knees sobbing in the middle of the alley way*
Kazuto: Sako it’s okay.
*Kazuto reaches out to try and comfort her*
: Don’t touch her!
Kazuto: Huh?
*Kazuto spins around to find Jack glaring at him. Berserker was standing behind him eyes locked on Kazuto*
Jack: What did you do to Sako?!
*Jack was clearly no longer rational the fact he had caught Kazuto and a sobbing Sako in the alley had led him to the conclusion that Kazuto had hurt Sako*
Kazuto: What are you talking about Jack I didn’t do anything!
Jack: Liar! Berserker tear him limb from him!
*Kazuto spins around and draws his family sword the blade was polished and beautiful and radiated not only with light but with mana, as Berserker’s claw comes down Kazuto manages to block it with his inhuman strength but even his strength quickly crumbles under Berserker’s pressure as he is brought to his knees*
Kazuto: Dammit!
Jack: Berserker show him no mercy attack!
*Berserker’s other claw slashes Kazuto’s chest with such force that he collides with the wall behind him. Blood begins to pour from his mouth as he looks at the beast and Jack goes over to Sako*
Jack: Sako, it’s okay, there’s nothing to worry about.
*Sako’s despair had turned to shock and horror as she saw Kazuto attacked by the beast she hadn’t even had time to scream for Jack to stop*
Sako: Jack what are you doing? He didn’t do anything to me!?
Jack: Don’t worry Sako I won’t let him hurt you anymore, you don’t need to hide it.
Kazuto: Dammit, well it looks like I’ve got no choice.
*Kazuto channels all of his mana into his sword and he stares at Berserker. The blade ignites into flame*
Kazuto: Flambreg!
*A burning scar appears on Berserker’s chest as both Jack and Sako stare at Kazuto in shock*
Jack: Was that a noble phantasm? But how?
Kazuto: This is a symbol of heroism that wasn’t lost along with it’s hero. Hayate left it to our shrine long ago and each generation pours mana into it. This is a blade on level with an A ranked noble phantasm.
*Sako takes this opportunity and runs over to Kazuto to prevent Jack from attacking him again*
Jack: What?
Sako: I wasn’t lying Kazuto really didn’t do anything to me.
*It suddenly dawns on Jack what he had done*
Jack: Berserker get Kazuto to Kawaru’s house now!
*Berserker picks up Kazuto and Sako, Jack gets onto his back and the hero carries all three back to Kawaru’s house*
Sako: Kazuto, 12 years ago that was you wasn’t it?
Kazuto: So you finally realized the truth huh? It’s about time.
*Sako raises her hand to Kazuto’s chest and uses some basic healing magic on him*
Sako: I can’t do much but I can at least take away the pain.
Jack: Crap, is Aylia still at the house?
Sako: No, she left with Kawaru.
Jack: Well we’ll have to see what you and I can do for him then.
~At the local park~
Kawaru: Aylia can you sense anyone?
Aylia: No, I can’t feel anyone around.
*Suddenly Saber grabs Kawaru and Aylia and lunges to his right side narrowly avoiding a lance he then lunges forward avoiding the second lance*
Assassin: Wow Saber that’s pretty impressive that you were able to notice my strikes and to efficiently avoid them.
*Suddenly the area surrounding them is enveloped in fire and Reiori emerges from the trees with Assassin. As she lands she stares at Kawaru*
Reiori: So you’re the one who murdered Kyoya?
Kawaru: I was the one who killed him yes, but I only killed him in self defense I had no interest in taking his life.
Reiori: Kyoya didn’t want to participate in this war to begin with but I was forced into it and he decided to participate in order to protect me.
Kawaru: That’s very interesting but it has little to do with me. If he entered the war he must have been willing to put his life at stake, I only acted to try and protect me own life there was nothing wrong with taking his.
Reiori: Are you serious? This is why I hate association magi. You don’t understand what it means to be human.
Kawaru: We aren’t human we are magi.
Reiori: Wrong we are both!
*This comment had caught Kawaru by surprise he had been wrestling with this very idea the entire time as well. A small smirk appears on his lips*
Kawaru: Yeah, I think you’re right.
Aylia: Kawaru what are you saying?
Kawaru: Come on Aylia you’ve realized it too, the association teachings are wrong. Just because we are born with magic circuits doesn’t mean we aren’t human.
Aylia: That’s true but—
Kawaru: However, that doesn’t mean that protecting ones own life is wrong either.
Reiori: What?
Kawaru: Kyoya tried to kill me, therefore I was fully justified in fighting back and killing him. It’s the golden rule “don’t do to other what you wouldn’t want done to yourself” if he was willing to try and take my life he must have been willing to lose his own as well.
*Suddenly Saber moves in from of Kawaru and swings his black sword deflecting one of Assassin’s lances. Assassin pulls on the chain connecting it to his gauntlet. As he lands he smirks*
Assassin: Enough of this philosophic discussion this is the Holy Grail War, and it’s time for me to eliminate the last real threat.
*Assassin charges at Saber but Saber is on guard and swings his sword with such speed that it would only be a blur to the naked eye. Assassin crosses his lances in front of himself to defend from the blow but as soon as the impact his Assassins knees lock and his feet sink about an inch into the concrete*
Assassin: Wow you’re a real muscle head.
*Saber comes down for another strike but Assassin disappears then reappears behind him and attempts to stab him in the back. However Dekar jumps into the air and manages to kick the spear away. Assassin disappears again*
Saber: Gah!, he can “hide in plain sight”!
*Saber swings his sword to where Assassin should be and Assassin is repelled backwards*
Assassin: Well well well, I suppose the Saber class isn’t considered an amazing class for nothing.
*Assassin and Saber continue to clash with each other Assassin’s agile and rough style conflicted with Saber’s polished and refined sword. The two were on relatively even footing. Suddenly Assassin jumps back*
Assassin: This isn’t getting us anywhere.
*Assassin crosses his spears in front of him and they begin to glow*
Assassin: Twin Dragon!
*A tornado is launched towards Saber and another is launched at Kawaru. With no time to dodge Kawaru uses his prism shield however it is destroyed and Kawaru is impaled through the stomach by one of Assassin’s spears. The limbs are also slashed and bleeding from the wind. However before the attack hits Saber his sword glows*
Saber: Hrunting!
*Saber’s noble phantasm cuts through Assassins and hits him head on with significantly reduced power. As the smoke clears Kawaru is in Aylia’s arms losing blood by the quart and Assassin in severely injured but grinning*
Assassin: You have to be ready to give up you’re life right?
*Assassin runs over to Reiori picks her up and the two of them vanish. Saber immediately runs over to Kawaru*
Aylia: Kawaru! Kawaru!
Kawaru: *cough* S…sorry…Aylia.
Aylia: Shut up!
Kawaru: Huh?
Aylia: I won’t let you go with that! I won’t let you die!
*Aylia’s hands radiate mana and she suddenly digs her left hand straight into his wound*
Kawaru: Guhhh, what are you doing?!
Aylia: Be quiet I need to concentrate.
*Aylia’s entire body begins to glow green. Kawaru’s grunts and his face contorts in pain as her hand digs into him deeper*
Aylia: I won’t be left alone again.
*The glow from Aylia’s body begins to flow into Kawaru’s and his outer wounds begin to heal. She raises his body slightly and hugs him as tears flow from her eyes*
Aylia: Kawaru, you’re going to be okay.
Kawaru: Aylia, thank you, I’m sorry that I scared you.
*Kawaru wraps his arms around her and her hand leaves his wound, which was now completely healed. He could feel that a connection had been established between the two of them*
Aylia: Kawaru, I will never let you die, now as long as I have the mana you will be able to regenerate your wounds.
Kawaru: Aylia, I will never leave you alone. I will always protect you.
*Tears continue to steam down Aylia’s face, both of them were soaking with blood and Kawaru was on the verge of collapse*
Kawaru: Aylia, there’s something I have to tell you.
Aylia: What is it?
Kawaru: Aylia, I love you.
*Aylia’s eyes open wider and her hands clench into fists as she grabbed the back of Kawaru’s shirt*
Aylia: Me too…
Kawaru: That’s fine my name is Kawaru, and yours?

*Kawaru extends a hand.*

Kawaru: How about I promise you that if you are ever in danger I will come to protect you.

*She turns away hiding her red smiling face and Kawaru grins*

Aylia: I’m sorry Kawaru, I know I said I’d be leaving but…

Aylia: …but I don’t want to go back to how I used to live. I don’t want to be alone anymore again. That’s why just for a little longer, let me stay. Please.
*Kawaru’s mouth felt dry he didn’t know what he should do. He could hear her sobbing from under the blanket, and he could see her shaking. Aylia had been suffering so much and it was his fault. He had no right to be with her. He knew this but still*
Kawaru: Aylia I’m sorry.
*He walks over to the bed and embraces her*
Aylia: I love you too.
*Upon hearing this Kawaru smiles and then loses consciousness. When he awakens his is lying on the sofa in his house. He blinks several times*
Kawaru: I’m, home?
Jack: Whew you had me worried man.
Kawaru: Jack?
Jack: Yeah, I had an accidental run in with Kazuto and Sako, and I sorta thought Kazuto had attacked Sako. So I injured him pretty badly.
Kawaru: Is he okay?
Jack: Aylia is looking at him now, but what happened with you?
Kawaru: We fought Assassin, Saber was winning the fight but then he used his noble phantasm on Saber and me at the same time. I couldn’t avoide and got pierced through the stomach. Aylia used some amazing healing magic on me to bring me back from the brink of death and now here I am.
*Kawaru looks over and sees Kazuto who’s head was resting on Sako’s lap*
Kawaru: When did those two get so close?
Jack: Well she said she felt responsible for his injury since I was only trying to help her and that if he had spoken up sooner the whole event would have been avoided.
*Jack stares at him for a few moments then turns back to Kawaru*
Jack: Still it was amazing I’ve never seen a living person with a Noble Phantasm.
Kawaru: Well such a thing is technically possible I suppose but I didn’t know there was anyone with one.
Jack: What do you mean he’s staying at your house.
Kawaru: You mean Kazuto has a Noble Phantasm then why didn’t he use it against Lancer?
Jack: When I asked he told me it’s because he hadn’t intended for fight Lancer that night and wanted to keep it a secret until he fought either Saber or Lancer.
Kawaru: Really?
*Kawaru gets up and stretches. As he does the door opens up and Aylia enters she walks over to him and gives him a brief hug*
Aylia: Looks like you’re okay now huh?
Kawaru: After that I’m feeling great.

Kawaru: I get the distinct feeling you’re making fun of me.

*Aylia suddenly briefly kisses him on the cheek, he unconsciously brings his right hand to his cheek and turns red staring at her*

*The two laugh but is sitting on the chair in a confortable position on leg resting horozanaly on the other, an unlit pipe in his mouth, and a Sherlock Holmes costume on*
Jack: Very interesting is it possible that that you to are…dating?!
*Kawaru and Aylia both look away confirming his suspicions. Jack walks over and slaps Kawaru on the back several times*
Jack: Wow, I envy ya man you’ve got a hot girlfriend finally!

Jack: Well anyways I’ve got to get going you guys see ya.

Reiori: So this is where the grail is going to reappear?
Assassin: Yeah, it’s essence gets stronger with each servant that disappears, Saber appears to still be fine since the grail hasn’t manifested any stronger, he must have found a new master.
Reiori: If that’s the case he’s probably weaker right?
Assassin: Yeah, we’ll just let Berserker and Saber defeat each other.
Reiori: Yeah, now that Kyoya had finally been avenged.
Assassin: Though with the death of two Archers the grail seems to be manifesting earlier. It’ll probably be tangable after the death of one more servant. If that happens we have to run.
Reiori: Why?
Assassin: Because the Grail won’t have a container we’ll use Saber’s new master for that.
Reiori: Okay.
*Suddenly Assassin moves in front of Reiori*

*Jack finishes climbing the steps and smirks at the two*

Kawaru: You mean Kazuto has a Noble Phantasm then why didn’t he use it against Lancer?

*Kawaru gets up and stretches. As he does the door opens up and Aylia enters she walks over to him and gives him a brief hug*

*Kawaru and Aylia both look away confirming his suspicions. Jack walks over and slaps Kawaru on the back several times*
Jack: Wow, I envy ya man you’ve got a hot girlfriend finally!

Reiori: So this is where the grail is going to reappear?

*Suddenly Assassin moves in front of Reiori*

*Jack finishes climbing the steps and smirks at the two*
Jack: Berserker!
*Berserker appears behind Jack fully healed and ready to battle Assassin who had been weakened from his earlier fight with Saber*
Jack: You’re the one who attacked Kawaru right?
Reiori: Yeah, so what of it.
Jack: Well then, I guess it’s time to die, I’ll use you as the grails vessel then I’ll fight him!
