*Kawaru awakens and stretches as he sits up in his bed. When he finishes stretching he brings his arms down onto the bed to help push himself out of its warm embrace, but something was wrong*
Kawaru: Huh? What the?
*His left hand rests on a lump in the bed he pushes down on it lightly, it was soft*
Kawaru: What’s going on?
*He pulls the covers off and Aylia is sleeping peacefully beside him. His hand suddenly covers his mouth to prevent himself from shouting in surprise, and he quickly and quietly begins to get out of bed, but as he does he’s stopped*
Kawaru: I’ve gotta hurry before she wakes up.
*Suddenly Kawaru realizes what is stopping him. Aylia’s hand has formed a death grip on his the side of his shirt. Sweat begins to form on his forehead as he tries to recall what happened*
~The previous night~
*Kawaru, Aylia, and Kazuto had stayed up until late discussing what had happened in the War and what everyone was going to do after the war was over*
Kawaru: Hey, I’m getting pretty tired. What time is it?
Kazuto: *yawn* It’s 3:00 in the morning.
Kawaru: We’ve been up since six, no wonder I’m exhausted.
Kazuto: Yeah, Aylia seems like she’s wiped out.
Kawaru: Yeah.
*Kawaru looks over and sees Aylia sleeping face down on the table. Apparently she has given into fatigue and passed out about a half hour before hand*
Kawaru: I’ll take her to her room; you should get some rest as well. We should be fine since Saber is keeping watch.
Kazuto: Sure.
*Kawaru picks up Aylia and caries her up to the guest room where she was staying*
Kawaru: Into bed you go.
*He sets her down on the bed and turns to leave the room*
Aylia: ...Kawaru…*mumble* thank you….*mumble*
*Apparently Aylia was talking in her sleep. Kawaru turns back towards her and places a hand on her head*
Kawaru: I should be the one thanking you, for giving me something important to protect again.
*But the moment Kawaru had released the tension his knees began to buckle under him and he collapses to the floor. No longer having to will to fight off the exhaustion his consciousness slowly fades away and he falls asleep*
~Present~
Kawaru: Right that’s what happened but how did I get into the bed? I don’t sleep walk.
*Aylia begins to stir next to him. Kawaru tries to leave again but she continues to hold his shirt*
Kawaru: How does she have such a vice-like grip?
*Kawaru not able to think of anyway to sneak out without leaving behind evidence merely sits back down on the bed and accepts his fate*
Aylia: Oh Kawaru, you’re up.
*Kawaru braces himself for her to hit him but she merely gets up and stares at him. She soon realizes she had a death grip on his shirt and releases him*
Aylia: Why are you straining? Are you constipated or something?
*Kawaru opens one eye and is surprised that she has a calm and gentle expression. He relaxes*
Kawaru: Huh? Oh no…I don’t…I thought you’d freak out seeing me in your room when you woke up.
*Aylia looks at Kawaru rather displeased*
Aylia: Well I was the one that dragged you onto the bed.
Kawaru: *blinks several times* WHAT!?
Aylia: Well you were unconscious in a really weird position when I woke up earlier to go to the bathroom. I was worried you’d wind up sick or something if I left you like that and you were too heavy for me to carry so I just dragged you onto my bed.
Kawaru: And you didn’t think that there’s anything inappropriate about us sharing a bed?
Aylia: Under normal circumstances yes, but yesterday was a rough day for all of us. Besides if you had tried anything funny, I would have punished you most fittingly.
*Aylia ends the sentence with a scary look in her eye, enough to make strike fear into Kawaru’s heart*
Kawaru: A most fitting manner, huh?
*Suddenly the phone rings*
Kazuto: Hey Kawaru it’s for you!
Kawaru: Huh?
*Kawaru leaves the room and picks up the phone out in the hallway*

: Hey Kawaru, so you’re finally home, this is Sako I’m calling to tell you that I’d be getting in a day early and will be arriving at the airport at around noon.
Kawaru: Okay then, I’ll see you around noon.
Sako: I’m looking forward to it. I gotta go see you then.
Kawaru: Yeah, bye.
*Kawaru turns and sees Aylia peeping out of the doorway she quickly looks away and closes her door*
Kawaru: What was that all about?
*Kawaru does his daily morning routine and walks downstairs. He takes a seat at the dining table and begins to eat*
Kawaru: Kazuto, you know I can cook as well right?
Kazuto: Yeah, but since I’m freeloading I feel like I should do something to pull my weight.
Kawaru: That reminds me; wanna come to the airport with my later to pick up Sako?
*Kazuto looks surprised at this remark and stares at Kawaru*
Kazuto: Wouldn’t I just get in the way?
Kawaru: No, it’s fine besides it’ll be a good chance to meet the newest tenant of the house.
Kazuto: Newest…? She’s staying here!?
*Kazuto was clearly very surprised Kawaru’s recklessness had caught him off guard*
Kazuto: What are you thinking? The Holy Grail War is still going on if she stays here she’ll be endangered.
Kawaru: Actually Kazuto, this is probably the safest place for her.
Kazuto: What are you talking about?
Kawaru: Sako is a childhood friend of both Jack and I, Reiori might use her to bait us out, or Jack may get her to help him force me into a fight. Both are dangerous, at least if she’s here we can protect her and since Saber should be the strongest servant remaining it’s best just to have her stay here.
Kazuto: But—
Kawaru: Kazuto, if you’re honestly that concerned why don’t you keep an eye on her your training with Saber has been paying off hasn’t it?
Kazuto: I guess, but I can’t fight a servant.
Kawaru: You wouldn’t have to win just hold out until Saber and I get there.
Kazuto: Fine, I’m just getting a bad feeling about this.
Kawaru: A premonition?
Kazuto: Possibly.
Kawaru: Well if that’s the case keep a very keen eye on her.
*Kawaru hands Kazuto a crystal ball*
Kawaru: If you throw this into the air it’ll explode and alert me, even if you are in a building I’ll be able to sense it. Kazuto, please, Sako is a very good friend of mine. Please protect her.
*Kawaru bows his head to Kazuto who simply stares at him surprised. He hadn’t expected Kawaru to bow for any request and he felt as though he couldn’t turn it down.*
Kazuto: Uhhh, sure.
Kawaru: Thanks Kazuto, in response to that feeling I’m getting a similar one so look keep sharp, the danger will probably come as a surprise to her.
Kazuto: If you know she’s in danger send her away!
Kawaru: I can’t she would come anyways, and she’d probably just decide to stay with Jack, which could be just as dangerous.
*Suddenly Saber appears apparently he had been listening to the conversation*
Saber: I agree with Kawaru in this matter, if she is his friend it is dangerous for her to go unprotected, and it will be easier for us if we know where she is.
*Kazuto, merely looks at the two, he could tell that he was defeated*
Kazuto: Doesn’t the thought that you two could lose even cross your mind?
Kawaru: No, the only servants that could defeat Saber were Lancer and that other Archer, and since both of them are gone there is no chance we will lose unless we are attacked by surprise.
Kazuto: You two are becoming complacent.
Kawaru: No, we’re just looking at reality.
*Kawaru looks over at the clock. It was now 11:00 so he gets up goes to put his shoes on. Aylia comes down the stairs as well*
Aylia: Huh? You’re leaving?
Kawaru: Yeah, Sako’s coming early so we’re going to pick her up.
Aylia: Oh, wait a sec I’ll come too.
Kawaru: You don’t have to Aylia; you were tired last night it’s okay if you want to rest.
*Aylia stomps up to Kawaru and looks him straight in the eyes*
Aylia: Hold on a sec I’m coming with you.
*As Aylia repeats her order she walks away to get ready Kawaru stands frozen and Kazuto starts laughing*
Kazuto: If I didn’t know better I’d think that Aylia had a command spell for you.

*As Kawaru is about to speak Sako suddenly grabs him and puts him in a headlock*
Sako: Yup his hair is naturally like this 100%.
*Kawaru wriggles out of Sako’s grasp and catches his breath then looks at her staley*
Kawaru: When we were kids you asked me that question to. Remember you once tried to trick me into walking through a car wash to see if it really was. If Jack hadn’t stopped me I could have been seriously injured.
Sako: It would have just been a bath.

Kawaru: If you say so, anyways lets head back to my house. Jack lets all go out for drinks in a few days after Sako gets settled in to celebrate her return.

Jack: Then if that happens the drinks are on me.

: Hey you should be careful around here, there are wild animals.

*The figure runs off it seems he was called*

Kawaru: If you say so, anyways lets head back to my house. Jack lets all go out for drinks in a few days after Sako gets settled in to celebrate her return.
*Jack stares at Kawaru with an almost shocked expression*
Jack: I see so that’s a promise?
Kawaru: Definitely everything will be settled in three days.
Jack: Then if that happens the drinks are on me.
Kawaru: If you’re offering to pay then it’ll be worth it.
*Sweat forms on Jacks brow as he turns to walk away*
Jack: Even Sako, Kawaru you’ve got some nerve.
*Jack mumbles as he walks away, Kawaru and the others turn around and go towards Kawaru’s house, but suddenly Kawaru turns to the group*
Kawaru: Sorry but I’ve got to go take care of something.
Sako: Really? Where are you running off to now?
Kawaru: Actually I need to go get a package I ordered at the local hardware store.
Sako: *sigh* How boring and here I thought we’d get to spend the whole day together.

Aylia: Hey Kawaru do you mind if I come? I’ve wanna check out the accessory store that’s near there.
*Kawaru shrugs and waves his hand saying ‘you can do whatever you want’ and Aylia follows him cheerfully*
Sako: Those two really get along well.
Kazuto: They’re partners after all.
Sako: She’s his girlfriend?
Kazuto: No, she’s his magus partner.
Sako:…how did you know?
Kazuto: I’m a magus as well we can sense each other. Only Kawaru is inept enough at mana detection to miss the fact that you have magic circuits. So how up to date are you on what’s going on?
Sako: Kawaru and Jack are in the Holy Grail War right?
*Kazuto nods and looks at her surprised she knew of the war*
Kazuto: I’m a little surprised you knew about the war actually.
Sako: I may not look like it but I’m a high ranking enforcer.
Kazuto: Is that so? Hey Sako I’ve been wondering, have we met before?
Sako: If you lived in this town maybe why?
Kazuto: It’s nothing. By the way why did you agree to stay with Kawaru rather than Jack?
Sako: Well the reason is…

Kazuto: It’s pretty obvious from a third party observer, that’s probably why Aylia was so worried when she found out you were staying.

Kazuto: Not yet, but they will soon.

*As the two walk Sako looks down dejectedly*
Kazuto: Why do you like Kawaru so much? I mean you’re childhood friends but is there some kind of reason beyond that?

*Sako is being chased through the forest by a bear*
Sako: Somebody help me!
Bear: *ROAR*
Sako: Ahhhhhhhhhh!
*Sako continues to run away and suddenly a figure darts out between her and the bear he pulls out a blade and it ignites into flame scaring the bear*
: Hey you should be careful around here, there are wild animals.Sako: Thank you.
*The figure runs off it seems he was called*
Sako: Wait who are you?
~Present~
Sako: I later found out that Kawaru had a blade called the Oracle Knife which could light aflame like that and that’s when I realized that he had saved me and when I fell in love with him.
*Kazuto’s eyes widen slightly in surprise but he quickly regains his composure*
Sako: What’s wrong?
Kazuto: Nothing, so what are you going to do now?
Sako: You’ll see.
~Kawaru’s house several hours later~
Kawaru: It’s nice to have you back Sako, listen I’ve got some stuff to go take care of tonight. See you later.
Aylia: I guess we should get going.
Kawaru: Aylia you stay here to, I’ll take care of the rest of this alone.
Aylia: No, I’m coming I’m as well I’m a part of this too.

Sako: Kawaru one sec, can I talk to you for a moment?
