With the arrival of multiple system patches and expansion packs, The World is now more popular than it has even been before. Though its name is officially unchanged, fans and devotees of the world-renowned game have given it a new name:

Over the course of 5 weeks, nearly 300 adolescents between the ages of 13-18 have fallen into irreversible comas due to excessive hours of playing the popular computer game, The World.
