The following is a guideline for becoming an Assault Ace:
The Assault Ace is a rare character class which utilizes multiple weapons and various skills. Assault Aces have the unique ability to use up to three varieties of weapons which they select while creating their character using a point-allocation system. The player is given 6 points and must distribute them between the desired classes, which vary in terms of point value:
Twin Blade: 1 point
Blade Brandier: 1 point
Edge Punisher: 1 point
Tribal Grappler: 2 points
Lord Partizan: 2 points
Valiant Archer: 2 points
Flowing Melodist: 2 points
Shinobi Striker: 2 points
Sonic Duelist: 2 points
Fortune Croupier: 2 points
Echo Extremist: 2 points
Steam Gunner: 3 points
Flick Reaper: 3 points
Whiplash Enforcer: 3 points
Ardent Corsair: 3 points
Arcane Trooper: 3 points
Wave Templar: 3 points
Blitz Vanguard: 3 points
Epsilon Defender: 3 points
Dance Macabre: 4 points
Harvest Cleric: 4 points
Shadow Warlock: 4 points
However, Assault Aces cannot use all their of chosen classes from the beginning. At first, they can only use the first weapon type; the others are sealed. By completing exclusive quests, these weapons are released, and the character's appearance changes. This is the Assault Ace's "Job Extension" ability.
However, the downside to being an Assault Ace is the slower job levelling and the slightly different stats. For example, a Level 10 Twin Blade is a better fighter than a Level 10 Assault Ace with Twin Blade weapons.
Upon receiving a Job Extension, an Assault Ace receives 25 stat distribution points.
Note: Not all allocation points must be distributed to a class. It is possible to choose three classes and still have allocation points left over. In such a scenario, the player receives 1 Skill Level per leftover allocation point. In addition to this:
(1) Up to three classes can be selected.
(2) Only two classes can cost the same number of points (no Twin Blade/Blade Brandier/Edge Punisher combo).
