Ok a few things A) Why does J need to be chivelrous he's not a knight B)I was agree that Alysons attractive C) Are you saying she's not? A) Chilvarous not only applies to knights. It applies to men having a code of honor, being respectful, etc. You might want to do your research on the modern male chilvary code next time. Even till this day, men still have that quaility, more some than others. B)I agree as well. C) Am I saying she is? I never said she wasnt. There are other ways to approach the female gender other than being explicit and calling it "hot". Which may explain about the person's personality. Not saying anything bad about J-dog.

Even I already agree that what he did wasn't chivelrous but now adays trying to apply a code of honor isn't possible due to different culters and so on. Whats polite to one person is rude to another. I don't beleive that he broke any serious ediquette and I think you broke it when making fun of him for not knowing the meaning of the word.

I don't beleive that he broke any serious ediquette and I think you broke it when making fun of him for not knowing the meaning of the word. One, So many wrong things with that statement. Though I agree with the many cultures things, it isnt so radically different. The basics of the chilvary code would be respect, self-dicipline, manners, etc. That's something you'd find in practically many cultures. Its the basic foundation of the male gender. Not only for males, but human beings world-wide. Even if some people are different, you'd see their vaules are very similar. Two, Theres a HUGE difference between laughing at a person, and laughing WITH them. If you even READ his post, he clearly was laughing at the cause of not knowing the word. If he had not laughed, You'd be pretty damn sure I wouldnt have given that remark. However, by the looks of his post, he doesnt seem to be againts it, but for it. Hell, I could just say YOU broke ediquette by acusing me of something I clearly did not do. See how logic works?

A) I'm not going to claim chivelry because I don't practice it. Hell I don't care about it I just like to argue with people. B)Okay I guess I didn't quite make myself clear. Trying to bind most people to a set ediqutte isn't going to happen because it's not a high priority. C)Often times laughing with someone can be just as bad at laughing at them. People tend to use laughter as a vent for ebarrasment by joining in you only add to it.
We can go on like this for a while Squall

We can go on like this for a while Squall A) If you're were'nt going to claim chilvary in the first place, why even bother pointing those "points" you made in your first post? That makes no sense, even if you like arguing with others. B) Not a high priority? *sighs* Let me give you an example. Japanese people tend to hold morals really, really high. The vaule loyalty, honesty, etc. On the American side, you'd find simple morals like "Dont put your elbows on the table" or " Dont talk with your mouth full!", even if you think you dont practice it. Fact is, every person does something of eloquence and manner-like. If people wouldnt do that, the human race would have dissapeared years ago. Hell, just a few generations ago, chilvary, and high standards were all over the place, with out those, we wouldnt be here. C) Not really, laughing with that person tends to say "Its okay, you screwed up, that was funny." Whereas laughing AT a person tends to say "Haha, you're stupid!" See the big difference? Laughing with a person tends to help vent that embarrassment, and thus, get over it quickly than laughing at a person. Its basic psychology Dekar. Indeed we can. But this thread wasnt made to hold petty arguments, but if you decide to keep going, I have no quarrels.
