With the really crappy post rate lately I start to feel that R:3 has some issue that is killing interest. Please vote.

There's things I'm doing, reading, writing, playing games, hanging out with friends more often, that the site isn't as high a priority as it was earlier. Chances are, it'll continue throughout the summer and then I'll become more active in the fall when I start going to college and caring about thinking. >.> Those are my personal reasons anyway.

I myself am not sure whats going on. I would like to start RX sooner. But I want R3 to have a definity ending before we do so. I think we should have one more arc after we finish the current one, because well, a merchant guild doesn't seem that epic of a final boss than gods of a game do.
Another reason that everything is going so slow is because there are so many things going on at the same time on the site as well. And so people have to split their attentions alot.

I'm for sooner personally I think we should end with this arc. Not the Merchant guild but the goddess being the final boss. I mean the Kansai arc was long.
As for my activity I'm slower for similar reasons to LK. I've been very busy in real life between my job, friends, and a doujin VN I'm working with a team on I don't have as much time for the site.

I know im new and I dont fully have the grasp of everything yet, but I think it would make sense if rather than having a definitive ending, and rewriting the entire thing for R:X, make R:X the result of a massive release of patches/updates to R:3, so that. although there is a bit of the old familiar stuff, and the system is very similar, there are a lot of new things (e.g. cities, monsters, weapons and items etc) to try and get used to. Also, I think if you made a reference sheet for each job class and a spells list etc that one can download on PDF or something, you would avoid having people constantly interrupt their games to double check the effects of this spell or that skill in another thread.
If you introduced effects / items that have an effect on roleplay as well as battle, and the ability to have a secret hideout etc as well. Basically, put loads of new in but keep the structure familiar, and then people will want to explore the new again.
Have events that are level specific, for a limited time only etc. Rare items only achievable by finishing these Ltd Ed events. Make it seasonal, so there are more activities planned in the fall than in the summer because, as you said, there will be more players.
Advertise on other sites too. That helps a lot. And try to have an administrator rota so that there is at least one logged on for at least an hour every day.
I dont know if this is any help but it makes sense to me so I'm putting it to you.
